MMA GLoves and MMA Gear You Need

There are not a lot of choices when it comes to the various kinds of feature of MMA gloves.

Padding can either be for sparring, bag work of competition

Sparring gloves have lots of padding. They generally have finger loops that keep your fingers free to help you grab while you are on the ground. You need to extra padding for obvious reasons- no, not to protect your hands. To protect your sparring partner…

Bag gloves are pretty much created so you don’t chew your hand up as they skip accross the face of the striking bag- It’s really a friction burn. These types of gloves also have a extended wrist wrap that helps support the wrist. The padding isn’t as good because the striking surface is padded. You don’t need it.

Competiton gloves usualy need to satisfy some bare minimum standards. The paddin alone have to weight 4-5 ounces. The knuckles are safeguarded and so too are the backs of the hands. Some Fight Leagues, like UFC have theur own gloves that meet their ring standards and that is all you can use.

Appearance

The way a gloves looks is probably among the most significant parts of the buying experience. As a retailer, I have found the coolness aspect means a whole lot. The graphic designs vary from camo to blood- both extremely popular. But still, black glove with a top quality logo graphic stamped onto it sell excellent.

Leather or Vinyl

I personally like the leather gloves. You can’t compare the feel of real leather to the low-priced vinyl gloves. The edges of vinyl gloves can cut and irritate the skin of the hands. You just can’t compare to the good old smell and feel of a tough cow hide. Keep this stuff in your mind in your next mma gloves purchase. What is the purpose of the glove? Sparring, training or competition. How important is the visual appeal? Lastly, devote a few extra dollars. Cow hide gloves are likely to last a whole lot longer than the vinyl and they will perform far better as well.

Items to consider

Prior to runing out and purchase a pair of MMA Gloves, there are some facts to consider. What exactly are you going to be using them for, how much will you be ready to spend and how much does manufacturer mean to you

I recommend to my customers that training gloves don’t need to be expensive. Why invest a king’s ransom on gloves that will be used-up and sweaty?

Many fighters tend to be into the vanity thing- well at least until the first time they get smacked in the nose and their eye balls well-up with tears. Get beyond the appearances and get a quality glove!
