Visiting My Grannie

This month I see my granny. I anticipate visiting her, even if she’s grown a little stubborn in her old age. I will not embarrass her by divulging her age, but let’s only say she’s a woman with thoroughly practiced wisdom.

The last time I visited her I brought in my Yamaha keyboard PSR so I could perform some music for her. She enjoyed it, but regrettably since she’s not entirely there, she kept interrupting me to ask me how to clean her computer. Yes, she really uses a computer. And maybe she was interrupting me because I’m just that weak at the keyboard.

I always discover something puzzling at her home when I see her. Last time, I observed several books on penny stocks on her cocktail table. My grandma learning how to buy penny stock online? That is nuts. I wonder what I’ll discover on her coffee table this time.

This month will make for an active sojourn. We have to install her new Emtek door knobs and air conditioner filters then fix her garden cart. I likewise must take her old pots and pans to charity as she recently purchased a new set of pots and pans to supplant them. As a reward, she claims to also have purchased the best of the cheapest ice cream makers and the very best of all the electic coffee makers. I am thankful, but I also have to chuckle as she always claims to have or utilize only the greatest of this or that.

If all goes well, she will employ both to serve me some sweet coffee at dawn and ice cream in the afternoon. That sounds like more than reward enough for my effort. I’m glad to help her out for nothing, but a little rich coffee and creamy ice cream does not hurt.
